Preregistration

I initially thought that pre-registering a study would allow someone to 'take' your idea to pass as their own, but now i know this is not the case. If anything, it allows more time for reviewing, improving, and sharing your knowledge for others to build on.

This lesson clarified what is pre-registration and its advantages, while stating clear advantages for being scooped. My project is now an "exploratory" one, thus I think I would have trouble in pre-registering. However, I believe this would be a good exercise. The main bottleneck -being honest- convincing my boss... ;)

This lesson has also changed my mind on pre-registration. I see it's a good experience that I need to gain.

I agree, I was unaware of pre-registration before this course, but it seems like it could be really beneficial!
