Activity 1 (Ethos 1.4)

Really inspiring to find out more about the impact of the OU. Looking forward to the rest of the course as I'm considering applying for an AL role in computer science.

Here to learn more about being  STEM tutor at the OU. My original degree qualification is in Physics, but I've worked in computing my whole career, first as a technical author, and then a software developer, architect, and staff engineer, for the last 26 years.

My wife did a psychology degree at the OU a few years ago, and the OU has always fascinated me as a world leader in developing distance learning, always using the technology available at the time to follow its mission. That mission enables a lot of people to access high quality academic education who would otherwise be shut out from it.
