To what kind of users

As I was using ORCID, I found a question: to what kind of users is this website for? And how can they use it? So far I learned, it's a platform for researchers to share their works. But since there is no strict criteria on the work we upload, and no strong feedbacks  for our works,  I'm afraid people don't feel like making a good post.
