I think science communication is an important part of research, because scientific results should not only stay within the academic community. Communicating science clearly can help the public understand why research matters and how it may affect society.

For my own work, I think one challenge is explaining complex biological concepts in a simple but accurate way. This module reminded me that the message should be adapted to the audience. In the future, I would like to communicate my research more clearly, especially when presenting it to non-specialists.
