I am a researcher in Veterinary Medicine with a focus and interest in dermatology and oncology. Often there are only one or two reports of certain diseases in the literature. These can often be really old, published well before articles were made digital. Accessing these papers is often impossible unless the journal has scanned them which is rare or if your library keeps hard copies. I think the journals should put more effort into scanning and digitizing older material so there is a full archive for us to search.
