communication strategy

After searching both peer reviewed material and social media it is evident that there are misconceptions about my area of research. Now after finishing the module on science communication and public engagement I am convinced that more communication to lay audiences via social media such as a blog or tweeting new findings is the way to go. I realize now that there is a fine line with over doing it on social media and the consequences that would have on future grant applications. I well thought out blog with the occasional tweet of important results and being open to do more public engagement events in the area would be best.
