Activity 2.1

In Dominica there are alot of policies on education and also inclusive education is priority. Most of the policies implemented by the government are executed. Information and Communication Technology Policy was implemented into the Education system in 2001. In 2005 Universal Secondary was implemented in Dominica. This policy means that all boys and girls get a chance to Secondary Education.  There are programs in place for ESL students. Children with disabilities are in mainstream schools where ramps are provided for their access. Children with learning disabilities are visited by specialist when they are informed by the principal of the school. There is also a blended approach requested by the Ministry of Education which allow teachers to teach in the classroom and post assignments and have classes online through google classroom. Schools are provided with Chrome books and internet access so students can be taught using technology in the classroom. The government also ensures every household has a university graduate. Finances are budgeted to provided scholarships to study in various fields globally. I can clearly say education is highly recognised in my country.
