7. Attitudes to Learners

Daniels case study is really a reflection of behaviors portrayed by some teachers.

I think sometimes people do certain things because of lack of knowledge on the things they do. My suggestion is that education leaders need to plan for continuous professional development activities for their members of staff. They might include topics about inclusive education and learner centred education. When CPD's are conducted , it is important to make a follow up.

Issues of cultural beliefs could die out if the teachers as well as parents are informed about the adverse effects of those beliefs towards learners' academic achievement.

What LC E mean s.

True, Henderson, your post enhances my understanding of L C E. That it is not only group activities or pair works, but that L C E means that teachers must manifest in their practice, positive values and beliefs in line with inclusive education. This must be evident in class and their dealings with all other stakeholders.

Education of any country can not develop beyond the quality of teachers. There is the need for training more than ever before as new technologies are emerging.

A agree with the general sentiments expressed here, That CPD is very important. What form do you think effective CPD takes? Have you had opportunity to experience some really effective CPD - what did it involve?
