I have watched both videos with the aim of commenting on how to "Be observant, flexible and focus on self-esteem" and like you, I also found it difficult to access all three aspects, but they allowed me to reflect on my practice.
In the examples shown I find that the teacher maintains an attitude that is aware of the relevance of good treatment (considering self-esteem) not only student-teacher, but also among the students who act as peer tutors. Both remain attentive to the needs of their students in order to learn better together, involving everyone. Teachers embrace the best way of approaching their students as a key to understanding their difficulties and achieving their learning.
In the examples, I am not able to know what the teachers' observation skills are like, I think I would need to observe the classroom for longer.
I need to know more about their context in order to perceive if they are awake to the changes that occur in the mood of each of their students, the moments in which the class does not flow as expected. In contrast, I find that in my experience it is very difficult to be flexible in these situations. In the classroom I need to be focused on the sequence of activities and this limits my ability to observe whether or not my students are in good mood. Time flies and attending adequately to what is happening in the classroom takes time. I don't know how I could lean on the group of students, be more flexible in this, to be more observant.
