This course has really expanded my previously narrow view on INCLUSION. I now appreciate the importance of inclusion in a class, how critical it is for successful teaching and the fact that small efforts can lead to the achieve-ment of Inclusion in a class.
I have learnt so much about how to make my teaching more learner-centred, for example, I have decided to take some measures to do that:-
1. Know my students more and try to engage one-on-one more often. 2. Be more observant so that I can detect any odd behaviour early enough.
3. To be more flexible in my teaching approaches, and also vary my teach-ing methods and class activities so that my students are engaged all the time and not bored during my class
4. Give them more opportunities for pair and group work
5. Be more empathetic with them, so that I don’t become too strict and isolate them or discourage them from participating in class
6. Give them more positive feedback or positive encouragement.
