Policy on inclusive education

All schools have been declared inclusive as a matter of policy. Mainstream learners and those with special education needs now learn under one teacher and classroom. However, teachers do not know how to manage those with special needs. Consequently, those with special needs are virtually not involved in the teaching and learning process and benefit almost nothing. Teachers on their part appear to lack interest and creativity to help those with special needs arguing that they lack the knowledge and skills to teach or work with learners with special needs.
