I believe that the first thing the teacher needs to do is make each child feel safe and comfortable with them (the teacher), the environment, and their peers. that way they would be able to build a positive relationship with their student/s. Then they may consider the seating arrangement in the classroom. perhaps they may have the students sit in groups. They can place the slower students with the more advanced students to allow peer work and student interaction among students. this may help those who are shy or with a special need to work effectivi\ely and feel included in the classroom.
