Being excluded

One memory that always stays with me being excluded, taking a stroll down memory lane when I was about eight years old and in primary school, this group of children from my class did not want to play or be friends with me because I was dark in complexion. They excluded me from all activities and games, this made me felt so humiliated and questioned myself about my complexion. I did not have any friends in that class, children from the other classes saw me for who I am and they became my friends. Some children presently may also faced this stigmatization due to bullying and harassment in schools or even in their neighbourhoods.
