The Wave Model of Intervention

 

 I have always believed that all children can and will learn if they were given the opportunity and I think with assistance all teachers can do something to help children feel included. I firmly believe and agree with the wave model that all teachers are responsible for creating an inclusive environment for their students. The Wave Model of Intervention is very interesting to me since it places the child at the center. One of the attributes I especially like is where the hospitals and education partner together to place disabled children in schools.

Two of the ideas I can use in my classroom is to allow group learning and support to help build the confidence of the children with disabilities and make sensory resources using authentic materials available.
