1.7 Inclusive principles in practice

Wave 1 - observation of Molly was done to determine her issue, invited her to sit at the front, arranged for some revision sheets to be photocopied in a larger print.

Wave 2 - arranged a meeting with Molly's parents to discuss her issue, organized a short meeting to discuss how to help Molly with the other teachers

Wave 3 - encourage Molly's parents to take her to the doctor to get a diagnosis of her condition, a teacher who specializes in supporting visually impaired students visited the school 

Reflection

How have the activities helped me to understand new ideas? - each activity was based on a real life situation that happened before. i was able to put myself in the situation and develop new ideas n how i would deal with such situations.

How have the activities helped you to feel valued and included? - I was able to share my past experiences as a child or an adult. I felt included by being able to take part in the various activities in this course.  

What has helped you to feel part of a learning community? -  Being assigned by my principal to do various courses and being able to share that knowledge with my coworkers.
