Feeling excluded

Being beaten on the hands and forehead in the Standard 4 class by a teacher who disliked me because of my parents religious background made me feel excluded, affected my grades, cause my parents anxiety and was brought into extinction when the school principal was informed and intervened.

Teachers can make or break students. I vowed then and there never to repeat the cycle of exclusion and hope that I have succeeded in my overall interactions with children and families that I have been given the opportunity to serve and support.
