Activity 2.8


Some of the challenges to providing LCE opportunities are:

  • lack of resources and infrastructure
  • poor funding
  • large class sizes 
  • High stakes exams also hinders true learning
  • Linking lessons to students' lives
  • Also I would have to agree with the researcher that there is also a cultural aspect where students are accustomed to the adult being the bearer of information.

Solutions to an issue that is an obstacle to me:

Linking lessons to reality

Using more real life experiences and examples not just from my end but listen to the students as well.  Include more relevant resources in the lessons e.g you tube videos, pictures, movies, games. Allow them to explore on their own.
