Learners always work in silence-NO

Learners should engage in constructive conversation as that is one way inwhich they can learn.  Students can learn from each others experiences.  Furthermore it is often heard that History is a boring subject and by enagaging with others they can make it come alive.

Teacher dictates from the text-NO

Give learners the text to read for themselves, give them guiding questions so they can do the seaching and become interested about what they are learning.  Probably use the SQ3R Method, supplement text with other material such as diagrams and videos.  Allow them to make their own notes so they can become crtitical thinkers, efficient note takers and engage in analysis.
