3.6 The challenges of Inclusive education

Summary - Challenges of inclusive education

1) Sufficient or competent personnel - People who are well - founded on inclusive education principles.

2) Resources - Not just allocating funds.

3) Lot of Special schools - Teachers who are trained in inclusive education look forward to working in special schools rather than working in what I will call inclusive schools.

4) Education assessment centres - A lot of children with different disabilities access education but the institution support mechanism for inclusive education is not strong enough in my country.

I agree with Linda, these four challenges stated are also the same challenges faced in my country as well. Its very sad to know that there are trained personnel working in regular schools and not being able to practice what was taught. Resources is usually from the teachers pockets as most times teachers have to get their own.
