The Inclusive Teaching and Learning course has really impacted my view of inclusion. As a primary school teacher, I always believed and always try to practice the Golden Rule which is "Treat others the way you would want to be treated." Therefore, when dealing with children and also parents and staff members we need to consider and always remember this rule especially when we have students with special needs that are eager to be included in a classroom where they will feel included and accepted, and be part of a group. I learnt may aspects in this course that will truly help me to improve my teaching skills.
Things that I will do differently in the future to make my teaching more learner-centered is that I will now try to be more observant, be consistent in being flexible and try my best to build up the self-esteem of my students. These practices are important and I believe that I must take them into consideration in my life and in my profession because I need to be role models for my students and be a light in their life as I impart knowledge to each one of them and make them feel that I truly care and want them to be joyful and successful in life.
