Using Questioning to Promote Thinking 

Questioning is generally used to find out what students know.  Questions can also be used to inspire, extend students' thinking skills and develop enquiring minds. I can use questioning in my lesson especially open - ended questions as I would want my students to think beyond the textbook when answering questions. I also want them to develop their critical thinking skills.
