what does inclusive teaching look like?

8. Learners feel afraid to give a wrong answer or make a mistake

This attitude from learners expose the teacher centered  methods of the teacher. Instead, the teacher can lead learners to acknowledge that they are here to be trained and it is normal that they have it wrong sometimes.

Also, teacher's reactions when a learner gets it wrong should not be humiliating. Concretely, he can "You get it, but there is something to add;" "You are not too farm from the answer;" or "You try well"; etc.

4. Learners copy from board for most of the lesson

With regard to the subject and the learning situations, the teacher can introduce learners to the knowledge by a pre-homework. Thus, the teacher will only help learners correct their mistakes. In this sense, he engages them in a active learning process.
