Submit an 'article' to a participating journal at the planning stage, including introduction and method. Receive reviewers comments and (hopefully) acceptance in principle, then run the study and have it published in that journal, regardless of what the results show. 

It helps you secure a publication avenue early and improves the reproducibility of science as a whole.
