Prism by GraphPad is a purpose-built software for scientific analysis and graphing. The software has different analysis and graphing options for each different type of dataset with automatic formatting of graphs that make compiling data for publication extremely easy. It is a paid software (US$108 pa for a student license) but worth looking for funding for it as it takes a lot of the work out of generating easily intelligible, journal-ready figures.
