Git Hub is a free web-based hosting service for software development projects.

The platform allows you to develop your web projects  and easily maintain version control and track changes. Lots of users from nay location, can access the same account to work on projects collaboratively.

It is the largest open source software platform. it provides cloud storage and supports the main programming languages.

All you need to do is create an account and download the software. the interface is easy to use and I have used it to develop a web site for use in an on going research project. I was able to work from it at the same time as multiple student groups.
