Later Vannam dances grew in numbers, inspired by various other animals. Dancers would often use different coloured costumes, make-up and props to illustrate these Vannam. The dance movements in these Vannam are focused on the animal and its movements; depicting and glorifying the animal for its beauty, actions and particular motions.
