After seeing the video clip, the rule is simple which is no interrupting, no judging, and everyone has the right to pass if they do not feel comfortable sharing. I believe this routine works because it creates predictability and emotional safety. Students know that their voice matters. Even in settings where classrooms are crowded or resources are limited, this routine does not require materials but only time and intention. From what I understand now, making students feel safe is the foundation of a good learning environment. When learners feel secure, respected, and heard, they participate more actively and manage their emotions better. This is not only true for children. I think adults also need psychological safety. Adult learners may carry stress from work, family, migration, or past experiences. If they feel judged or unsafe, they will not engage fully. If I start teaching adults later this year, I will apply this routine in my setting. I believe trust should be built intentionally, especially in contexts affected by displacement or uncertainty. A safe classroom is not created by walls or equipment, but by relationships.
