Hello, my name is Pone Nyat Phyu. I am from the Bago Region in Myanmar, and I am currently staying in Mae Sot as a migrant student.

When I think about the best teaching and learning environment I have experienced, I would say it was my time at Minmahaw School. As someone who completed my education in the Myanmar system, the difference was very clear to me. In Myanmar schools, learning was mostly about memorizing again and again, without much understanding.

However, at Minmahaw, the learning environment was very different. Teachers used experiments, discussions, and activities that helped us understand the lessons more deeply. They encouraged us to ask questions and think critically, not just remember information.

What made this environment good for me was that it allowed me to explore ideas on my own and develop my thinking skills like it opened a door for me to see the outside world and learn beyond textbooks.
