how can teachers create safe spaces? (discussion)

  • What role can and do teachers play in creating safe spaces through education in these contexts?

Teacher play vital role in creating a safe spaces though education. Teachers perform as a role model for the students those who see her if she perform well in her teaching which cite the students hope to perform well in their daily life with respect toward the other people speak with formal tone. The teacher also help student to gain their confidents or hope for their future again by taking good care of vulnerable students which had very harsh experiences in the past.

  • What guidelines (if any) do schools in your communities have for the protection of learners, teachers and school infrastructures?- In the my community living in the camp the school set up some of the rules that control both the teacher and students to protect the cause of harm toward the school environment and people. If someone misuse the rule and break it there will be some of the punishment according to the rule that sat up.
  • What do you think is the best way to advocate for safe schools in such contexts?
  •  - For me personally I think the best way to advocate the safe of schools is to work with the local leader, parents and students raising awareness about their right to study and live. Their right to block the military not to settle in the place so that there will be no battle broke out.
  • What more could be done to ensure the safety of schools and their communities?
  • - To ensure the safety of schools we first need to be united in the village in building up the school infrastructure with the big board that indicate the symbol of school. After that the village head had to go to the government and let them make sure the rule for soldier not to set up their feet in school compound to avoid conflict.
