creating supportive learning environments (discussion)

I found some good ideas from the Class Routines resource and Padlet that I can use in my teaching. One idea I like is starting each lesson with a short warm-up activity. It helps students get ready and focus. I tried this by giving easy review questions at the beginning of class.

Another useful idea is having clear routines when changing activities. For example, I give simple instructions and set a time limit. This helps the class move smoothly and saves time.

I also tried using exit tickets at the end of the lesson. I ask students to write one thing they learned and one question they still have. This helps me understand their learning better.

From my experience, routines help the class feel more organized. Students know what to do, and the lesson runs more smoothly. I will keep using these routines in my teaching.
