How teachers create safe spaces?

  • What role can and do teachers play in creating safe spaces through education in these contexts? 
  • The teacher plays a crucial role in supporting and encouraging the learners. They are not only responsible for delivering education, but also for supporting students emotionally and psychologically. Teachers can create a sense of safety by showing care, respect, and understanding toward their students.

 

  • What guidelines (if any) do schools in your communities have for the protection of learners, teachers, and school infrastructures?

    In my community, there are very limited guidelines and resources available to ensure the protection of learners, teachers, and school infrastructure due to the ongoing situation on the ground. As my experiences, many schools and students are rely on the donars.

    However, these efforts are often insufficient to provide full protection. The lack of safety systems increases the vulnerability of both students and educators.

 

  • What do you think is the best way to advocate for safe schools in such contexts?
  • I think it might need a combination of policy support, community engagement, and awareness-raising.Strong education policies and government support are essential to ensure that schools are recognized as protected spaces. At the same time, local communities, teachers, and organizations should work together to raise awareness about the importance of safe education. It will include sharing information, organizing discussions, and encouraging community leaders to prioritize school safety. Additionally international support can also crucial to strengthen protection system and provide resources.

 

  • What more could be done to ensure the safety of schools and their communities?
  • It also need the community and gudiences help to ensure the safety spaces. However, it would not get almost all of the support from then. Therefore, it also need to change the traditional mindset who think suvival is important than the education.
