My context is either education in the refugee camps or war-affected zones.

Education is a victim when it is deliberately attacked by a superior group. Education is a perpetrator when it is used as a tool to cause conflict (eg. curriculums that promote racial disputes). Educatino can be a liberator when it teaches the rights of the learners. Education can be a peacebuilder when it promotes peacebuilding concept that can be utilized in the long run.

Schools are often targeted because schools usually accomodate large amount of people all in once. Perpetrators often attack schools to show their power and undermine the opposing group's authority.

Teachers can give students opportunities to safely & openly share their opinions.

Teacher can often hold discussions regarding to "peace" topics. Teachers can organize the classroom as  a space where students feel safe. Teachers can promote positive behaviors (eg. non-violent communication).
