reflections on the week

Throughout this course, I have gained many new ideas and perspectives on teaching. One of the most important things I learned is the value of using different learning types. Before, I focused more on explaining content, but now I see the importance of including discussion, collaboration, and practice to help students learn more effectively.

I now understand how important routines are in creating a safe and structured environment. This helps students feel more comfortable and ready to learn.

Another key reflection is about creativity in teaching. Even with limited resources, it is possible to create engaging lessons by using simple materials. I feel more confident in trying new strategies, such as game-based learning and group activities.

Overall, this course has helped me become more student-centered in my teaching. I now focus more on how students learn, not just what I teach. I believe this will make my lessons more effective and meaningful.

One more thing about the course is that I also found it very helpful to read others’ ideas and experiences. It gave me new inspiration and showed me that many teachers face similar challenges. I look forward to learning more from others in the forum.
