My experience as a teacher assistant at Minmahaw matches the Microsystem and Chronosystem levels. In the Microsystem, I work daily to build trust with students who lack math foundations by using real-world materials like fruit. In the Chronosystem, both my students and I are navigating the effects of displacement and civil war, which makes our 'long-term goals' feel more urgent but also more exhausting.
