I can share a situation from my own experience similar to the examples given above. It was a day when one of my students got such a low grade on their quiz. I was so suprised at first because that student had never gotten that low grade. Not only that, but the student remained silent whenever I asked questions in the classroom. Later on, I tried to talk to that student, and they told me they are facing family matters. It was the first time I comforted my student in a difficult situation.
