challenging behaviour

When I noticed that a student’s behaviour in the classroom was challenging, I tried to understand the reasons behind it rather than reacting immediately. I observed the student’s behaviour over time and paid attention to when and why the behaviour happened.

I also spoke with the student privately in a calm and supportive way to understand their feelings and experiences. In addition, I tried to communicate with their family or caregivers to learn more about their situation outside of school.

Through this process, I realised that the behaviour was influenced by factors beyond the classroom, such as personal or family challenges. This helped me respond with more empathy and adjust my teaching approach to better support the student’s learning and wellbeing.
