Last month, when I was a volunteer teacher at a migrant school for a week, I saw different kinds of learners. On the first day of my teaching, we were not really friendly with the students, but we tried to talk to them and ask them some funny and educational questions. By asking them questions like this, we think it might help them to be more open during the class. However, one of the students among them was really quiet. She was an intelligent student and also listened to our lessons carefully, except that it was hard to talk to us. At first, I thought that she was an introverted student. Then, after the class, I asked her how she was feeling, and she responded to me that she was okay. In addition, the next day, she acted in the same way as before. Therefore, while doing my lesson, I included some activities where students had to line up in one line, and I asked them questions about their favorite things and why they chose those things as their favorite. I noticed that by doing those kinds of activities, it helps her to be more active and participate with her peers and share her ideas during class.
