Space for listening to learners

Yes, I try to create space for listening to my students in simple ways. I often check in with them at the beginning of class by asking how they are feeling or how their day is going. I also give them time to talk, so they feel safe to share their thoughts with each other or with the teachers. Sometimes I use short activities like writing or drawing to help students express themselves, especially if they are shy.
