Reflection

  • How do you currently organise your classroom environment?- I am not currently a teacher but i will share how do we organise when i was a teacher assistant. The methods that had provided above are really good and we used it in the classroom. I use to use it but i don't know it was a method and my coworker use it with so i learn from them a lot. - In the starting of school year, we set up classroom rule which is choose by student, not only teacher. We ask them how do you want the class to be. We also encourage the students whenever they feel shy or not really confident. We say good jobs when they behave well or answer questions so that it make the students feel happy. We also give some small award like snack or candy so that it motivate students to active more . This create positive and safe classroom.
  • Have you noticed any positive or negative effects of your classroom organisation on student behaviour and learning?- I do noticed some positive when organise classroom. We tell the students to not to sit with the same person on each day so they have to sit with different person for each day. I can see that the students in class get to know each other better and talk with all the friend in the classroom. Instead of focusing on the friend that they like, we also build the relationship between learner and learner. There might be negative effects do organise classroom like this but I have not face this promble yet.
