Challenging behaviour

Sometimes I respond to behavior but not in a physical way but rarely to respond. When I am curious about the story behind their behavior, I start to watch them closer, later I found the solution. 

For me, sharing about you story is the best way to understand and learn more about their story. To be able to got trust from them, you have to show that you trust them, because some of the people they don't really want to share or demonstrate about their story completely. So I believe, you need to share of yours first.
