Supporting your learners

This lesson plan is very effective for all students. Since the first day of class, most teachers ask students to talk about their hobbies, dreams, or goals. In this way, teachers learn about each student’s hopes and can provide suggestions or advice. This is a vital step in building the relationship between teachers and students.

Based on their dreams, teachers can introduce interesting or valuable facts to motivate students to pursue their goals. Teachers can also help students work toward fulfilling their dreams. However, some students may not yet know what their dreams are. In that case, teachers should create activities or give short explanations about different careers so that students can begin to discover their own aspirations. Teachers may also ask students about their role models, which can inspire them to pursue their dreams.

If I were a teacher, I would encourage my students not to give up easily when pursuing their goals. I would remind them to learn from failure and continue working until their dreams are achieved. I would try to support their aspirations in a wise and thoughtful way.
