This week I realized how much education, conflict, and peace are connected in the teaching. Learning the VPLP framework, I see that giving students space to share their backgrounds helps prevent conflict and builds peace through respect. Ecological Systems Theory also makes sense in the class because children bring experiences from family, community, and culture, and these shape how they learn and interact. These ideas remind all the teachers that every child carries their own story into the classroom, and the teacher role is to guide them so they feel safe, valued, and ready to grow.
