Challenging behaviour

According to my personal experience, I havea experienced these kinds of situation when I was working as a teacher. To handle this situation and help the student, I approach the student with a light conversation and make sure he or she trust me first. After making the bond, I started find out the problem the student faced through the conversation, and encouraged the student. To reflect on this case, I have noticed that it was rare for me to directly have a conversation with the student's parents. However, there were some conversation through phone calls, and there were a few face-to-face conversation with parents after every semester of school. Through this experience, I learned that talking to student directly ccan give you one perspective, talking to the parents will also give you a different perspective, and, lastly, planning a home visit to observe the environment of where the student lives and how the neighborhood feel like can also give a very helpful information of how can a teacher assist that student to become better and healthier in many diverse and different ways.
