Over to you

  • What are your reflections on the learning you have been through this week? Have you been able to interpret your own teaching context in terms of the way that education, conflict and peace are interrelated in the VPLP framework? And what about the Ecological Systems Theory - can you make sense of it in your context?
  • In what ways do these concepts and theories help you understand what children bring to the classroom and how you can help them?
  • Do you have a sense of your role as a teacher, as a professional who has a responsibility, and some capability, to make life better for your students?

My reflections on the learning I have been through this week are good as I gained the concept of teaching and some energetic activities from this week of teacher training. I think I can interpret my own teaching context in terms of the way that education, conflict and peace are interrelated in the VPLP framework. Such as seeing the example of children who had to flee to Thai-Myanmar boarder to gain further studies due to civil war or broken system. Moreover, I can apply Ecological Systems Theory according to individual student situation analyzing and understanding or empathy to what they had faced and where they came from; instead judging them from the whole negativity.

Theory can help me understanding some part of students personality and problem. By looking the factors of theory system that they faced, we can see that, originally, all of the children are the same, but it cause to diverse or different people base on their environment choice, accepted perspective, their choice to believe and the identity that they set up to themselves told who the children are. These are mostly base on the  Ecological Systems Theory.

Yes, I have a sense of my role as a teacher, as a professional who had a responsibility, and some capability, to make life better for my students using the technic and the supportive learning and teaching style from Co-design partner organization.
