Difficult situation in classroom

One line to describe the situation (VPLP framework):
A liberator’s actions can challenge and transform stereotypical school systems into more inclusive and empathetic learning environments.

What I did:
I delivered peace education training by introducing sensitive but essential topics such as violence, peace, and conflict, helping students engage in meaningful discussions within their community.

Ecological systems I worked in:
I worked across multiple systems. At the institutional level, I negotiated with the church pastor and school administration to integrate peace education into the school curriculum. At the community level, I engaged with parents and villagers—many of whom have limited exposure to critical and logical thinking—to foster more thoughtful responses to challenging situations.

What else could have been done in other systems (future actions):
In the future, I could expand my work within the broader community and societal systems by creating more structured educational programs that promote critical thinking and inclusivity. I have already contributed to my community with a sincere commitment to creating positive change, especially for my students, helping them access better opportunities. Moving forward, I aim to continue serving my Karen community through education until we achieve genuine freedom—free from oppression or marginalization of minority groups. This long-term effort will contribute to sustainable peacebuilding and social transformation.
