share what do you think of this lesson plan, and the suggestions on the Padlet as ways to change your practice at the microsystem level to support your learners’ dreams? Can you use these ideas? How would you need to adapt them in your context?
The lesson plan is very meaningful for learners to reflect on their hopes and future goals. even if they come from different background with challenging backgrounds. It encourages students not only to dream but also helps them to think about what support they need and what barriers they may face.
As far as I am concerned, the activities in the microsystem is very effective to build a supportive relationship between the teacher and learners. Allowing students to share their ideas in pairs first creates a safe and comfortable space for expression.
Therefore, I can definitely use these ideas in my context. However, I would need to adapt them slightly. To provide a clear example, some students may feel shy or lack confidence, so I would provide more guidance and values. Moreover, I would include a short discussion activity before the lesson to help students understand the question better.
Additionally, I would also extend the activity by asking students to write messages about their hopes and what needs to change in order to achieve or success them. These messages could be displayed in the classroom or shared with school leaders to raise awareness of students' needs and aspirations, and This could help create change not only in the classroom but also at a wider level.
Finally, I believe this lesson plan is very useful way to support learners' dreams.
