I think this lesson plan is good because it helps students share their ideas and think about their dreams. It also helps them feel that their voices are heard and valued. The suggestions on the Padlet are useful for changing my teaching at the microsystem level, especially by listening more to students, supporting them, and building a better relationship with them. I can use these ideas in my context, but I need to adapt them. Some students are shy and not confident, so I would guide them more, use simple language, and let them work in small groups instead of speaking in front of the whole class. For students who cannot write well, I would let them draw or speak instead. As a follow-up, I can ask students to write or draw messages about their dreams and display them in the classroom or share these with teachers and class members, if the student, himself or herself, allow it. This can help them feel heard. Overall, I think this activity is helpful; however, there will be some things to adjust to fit the students’ level and situation.
