Space for listening to learners

  • Do you have activities or routines that you use regularly to create space for listening to learners?
I have some regular routines that i use to create space for listening to learners. At the end of the class, i always ask some overall questions to check whether they understand the lesson. This helps me know if they have understand the topic well or if they need more explaination. In addition, i use feeling cards and needs cards as an activity to help express how they feel and what they need. Also,Once a month , i let them write on a piece of paper what they would like me to improve or fix. This help me reflect on my teaching and create a better classroom.
