Supporting your learners

In my classroom, I use simple ways to support SEL. I ask students how they feel (self-awareness), remind them to stay calm (self-management), encourage respect (social awareness), use group work (relationship skills), and guide them to think before acting (responsible decisions). I used these methods in student activity and when teaching and playing games. It helps students feel more open and friendly, but some still struggle with emotions or feel shy to share. I think I can use some simple SEL games from IRC because they are easy and do not need many materials, so they would work well in my situation.
