reflection on the week

Throughout this course, I’ve developed a deeper understanding of how learning actually happens, not just how content is delivered. At the beginning, I viewed teaching mainly as explaining information clearly. However, my perspective has shifted and I now see teaching as facilitating understanding, encouraging critical thinking, and adapting to different learners’ needs.

One major change in my approach is the importance I place on active learning. Instead of focusing only on lectures or direct instruction, I now value discussions, questioning, and student participation much more. I’ve also become more aware of how feedback and reflection play a key role in improving both teaching and learning.

Additionally, this course helped me recognize that students learn in different ways and at different paces. As a result, I would aim to use a wider variety of strategies to make learning more inclusive and engaging.

Overall, this experience has made me more flexible and reflective as a learner and future educator. Going forward, I plan to continue refining my teaching approach by listening to learners, experimenting with new methods, and reflecting on what works best
